子供さんの歯磨きに頭をかかえていらっしゃっる方は多いようです。友達から子供の歯磨きについてよく聞かれます。
子供のときのプラークコントロール(歯磨きをして歯をきれいな状態にして、虫歯や歯周病を予防すること)はとても重要です。乳歯や出てきたばかり永久歯はと虫歯になりやすく、出てきたばかりの永久歯は並びが不揃いで歯ブラシが当たりにくいことが多いのです。
また、虫歯菌は、産まれてから４歳頃までに感染することがわかっています。(このことをご存知のお母さんは多いですね！) このことについて詳しくはまたの機会に…(^.^)
子供さんの歯磨きについてですが・・・
まず、お母さんやお父さんが歯磨きをしている姿をみせることです。できれば、お母さんがお父さんの歯を磨いてあげて「はい！パパは終わり。次はカッちゃんよ！」といった感じで行うといいかもしれません。また、「お歌の間頑張ろうね！」と目標を与えることも効果的なようですよ(^_^)
歯磨きはフッ素入りの歯磨き粉を使って、終わってからは、できればフッ素をつけて１～２時間飲食をひかえましょう。
口の中の菌(主に歯周病菌)は心筋梗塞・脳血管疾患・低体重児早産などいろいろなもののリスクファクターとして発表されています。子供の頃から予防していきましょう！
