虫歯には虫歯をつくる菌が関係していることはご存知ですか？
また、その菌は赤ちゃんとして産まれてきたあとに自分以外のヒトから感染することはあまり知られていないのではないでしょうか？
何気なく行っている行為が子供に虫歯菌を感染させていることがあります。例えば同じ箸やスプーンを使って食事をしたり、ミルクの温度を確認するのに哺乳瓶を吸ってみたり…いかがですか？
虫歯菌の遺伝子を調べると母と子供の持っている虫歯菌の75％が同じDNAという研究結果が報告されています。(＝感染元が母親であるということです)
乳歯が出てくる頃から4歳くらいまでが重要な時期です。気をつけてくださいね！
