昨日の『電車男』ご覧になりましたか？泉谷しげるさんの台詞に「タバコぐらい自由に吸わせろ！俺は吸うぞ!!」って…。不憫ですねぇ(T_T)
最近気づきましたが、タバコのパッケージ…「喫煙はあなたの肺気腫を悪化させます。」「心筋梗塞の…」「歯周病の…」いろいろなことが大きく警告されていますね。
今まではパッケージにそんなことが書いてなかったせいもか(？)喫煙することがなんとなく格好良く思えたものが、パッケージが変わってから、そんなタバコを持っているとなんだか格好つかないのではないでしょうか？(私は喫煙しません。喫煙を理解できないので私の想像が違うのなら、あしからず)
この先…タバコを吸うことがストレスになる時代かもしれませんね…。
歯科でも、喫煙は大きな問題です。歯周病はもちろん、インプラントなどの外科的な処置後の状況は明らかに違いが現れます。専門的な立場からいくと、喫煙なさる方の歯周治療は難しいのです…。歯肉が素直に反応しないのです。できれば喫煙をやめていただきたいのですが…それもなかなか難しいですよね。
そのような方には、治療が終了しても１ヶ月以内に来院していただき、プロケア(専門家による清掃)を行うことをお勧めし、歯周病の進行、または再発ができるだけないように対応しています。
